Chirundu FM sports journalist Owen Vitumbiko Mwanyongo has received two prestigious awards for his exceptional sports reporting. He is the Best Reporter for the 2024 Northern Region FAM Moto Division One and Best Online Reporter for the 2024 Simso Mzuzu 12 Premier League.
On his WhatsApp status, Mwanyongo attributed his success to the unwavering support of his colleagues and family members, acknowledging their significant role in his achievements. He also pledged to work even harder this year to elevate his reporting standards.
This recognition is not Mwanyongo’s first accolade in sports journalism. In 2023, he was named Best Radio Reporter for the Northern Region FAM Moto Division One, solidifying his reputation as a dedicated and skilled sports journalist.
